Embroidered pencil case - fairly produced in Nepal for Himal Hemp (pencil case / pencil box)

FAIRLY PRODUCED IN NEPAL

This pencil case is made using a patchwork technique. The lining of the intricately embroidered pencil pouches is made from recycled traditional Nepalese women's dresses – saris. The colors of the lining therefore vary, as do the color and style of the embroidery – each piece is unique!

Material: Recycled sari (inside), cotton (outside - sourced from neighboring India)

This product is manufactured in Nepal in a factory that processes hemp from fiber to finished product. This factory prioritizes the training of its workers and provides support in case of illness. Fair production and the use of organic or recycled raw materials are paramount in all our products.

The old saris (traditional Nepalese women's clothing) are collected in the immediate neighborhood, then washed, cut and woven by hand into colorful fabrics on mechanical looms.
